The Ohannesian Armenian Weekly School Board of Trustees

The Ohannesian Armenian Weekly School, from its early beginnings, has become the object of affection and attention of the members of the Armenian community; with the Board of Trustees being the body attending to its needs, with a constant and timely presence. The Board has catered to the needs of the school curriculum, in addition to students’ scholastic requirements involving uniforms, extracurricular activities, food selection and supply, scorecards, as well as the preparation and publishing of yearly calendars and yearbooks.  The Board has also been providing advice and guidance over general issues pertaining to the welfare of the school, supported by diligent studies. The School’s Board of Trustees strongly believes that the Armenian school provides substance to our Armenian national identity, educates future generations, and is an establishment that builds the mind and spirit, in addition to teaching young generations awareness in taking responsibility as active members of our community. During its first two years of existence (1980-1982) the school was under the direct supervision of the Executive Council.  Since 1982, successive Boards of Trustees have overseen the successful continuity and growth of the school.  The school’s Board of Trustees has always been grateful to the community for allowing it to assume its role and shoulder its responsibility.
