On Sunday, September 9, 2012, Members of the Council of the Armenian Community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, under the leadership of Rev Aram Deyirmendjian paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia where they were warmly welcomed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in the United Arab Emirates Mr. Gegham Gharibjanian and the Consul Mr. Marad Melikian.
The visit served as an opportunity to discuss issues of concern that exist between the community and Armenia, especially the latest development in Syria which largely affected the Syrian Armenian Community. Both the Diaspora as well as the Government of Armenia spare no effort to extend their help and assistance to their brothers and sisters in Syria.
After expressing mutual readiness to cooperate, the Ambassador accepted the invitation extended by the Council to lecture on September 29, in Pierre Keusseyan hall to celebrate the 21stanniversary of the re-independence of the Republic of Armenia.
